Carica Papaya 39mg/g Fresh Fermented Fruit
The Carica Papaya (Papaw) used in Lucas’ Papaw Ointment is Queensland grown fresh fruit. The fruit is received fresh to our facility in Brisbane where we ferment it under strictly controlled conditions.
Every piece of fruit we use is hand selected to ensure only the best quality A Grade table fruit make the cut. Once the fruit is fermented to just the right level we use it to make the ointment.
The finished product contains 0.1mg/g of Potassium Sorbate which acts as a preservative.
Our papaw is sourced from local farms in Queensland, Australia. Our strict quality controls mean only the very best fruit makes it into our products. The rest… tastes delicious.

Lucas' Papaw Remedies custom blend of pharmaceutic grade petroleum jelly and wax
Lucas' Papaw Ointment is crafted to Dr T.P. Lucas' formulation using a custom blend of petroleum jelly and wax as a carrier.
The custom blend ensures an even penetrating distribution of the fresh fermented Carica Papaya, and assists in maintaining a thicker consistency of the ointment in the hot Australian weather.
Our product does not contain polyplasdone, talc, shellac, palm oil, glycerin, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), or sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). The Lucas' Papaw custom blend is not mutagenic or toxic to reproduction.
The carrier in Lucas' Papaw Ointment meets the purity and safety standards of the United States FDA and the European Pharmacopeia. It is pharmaceutical grade and tested for the total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Every delivery we receive is certified to confirm its safety and quality.

A small amount of naturally derived Gum Balsam Peru (a special type of tree sap) is used for its medicinal properties.
